Water-Miser Vent Caps
These molded plastic “flip-top”
vent caps allow safe and efficient maintaince of your batteries.
Unlike hydrocaps*, there is no need to remove the Water-Miser vent caps
when charging, filling, or equalizing your batteries. Plastic pellets,
located inside of these caps, capture up to 90% of the moisture and liquid
droplets from the electrolyte solution, reducing your exposure to sulfuric
acid fumes & liquid, preventing terminal corrosion, and keeping your
battery tops dry and clean! Battery water loss is reduced, which
results in less frequent watering.
*When batteries are charging,
hydrocaps reduce water loss up to 90% by recombining released oxygen and
hydrogen. Water-Miser vent caps do not recombine these elements, however,
water loss is reduced by 30-75% by absorbing and releasing water and acid
particles in the form of condensation (into battery). |
